Bilingual Psychotherapy: Psychotherapy services are offered directly in English or Spanish.
Multicultural Psychotherapy: Ms. Klopstock is an experienced multicultural psychotherapist. She has worked with patients from around the world and is attentive to each individual’s cultural background. For non-English and non-Spanish speaking patients, Ms. Klopstock provides psychotherapy with the assistance of a professional interpreter, arranged either by the patient or through their insurance provider.
Rehabilitation counseling: As a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor, Ms. Klopstock works with individuals with mental, physical, or emotional disabilities, with the goal of maximizing their potential and independence. Rehabilitation counselors assist individuals with a wide range of disabilities, as defined by the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and its 1998 Amendments, as well as the Americans with Disabilities Act.
Forensic Mental Health Evaluator: Ms. Klopstock is a forensic mental health evaluator with extensive experience working with patients involved in workers’ compensation, personal injury, criminal (victims), and immigration cases. She conducts evaluations to assess the impact of accidents, catastrophic injuries, assaults, family separation, or other significant stressors on an individual’s mental health. Additionally, she performs mental readiness evaluations for spinal cord stimulator implant surgeries.
Expert witness testimony: Ms. Klopstock’s professional services may be requested to provide expert witness testimony.
Electro-encephalogram (EEG) Biofeedback training/Neuro-feedback Provider: Ms. Klopstock is an EEG Neurofeedback Provider. EEG biofeedback is a learning strategy that enables individuals to modify their brain waves. She may use EEG biofeedback as an adjunct to psychotherapy to address sleep problems, chronic pain, and mood disorders such as anxiety and depression. This approach can help reduce the stress associated with these conditions, promoting relief from anxiety. EEG biofeedback learning is based on the behavioral principle of operant conditioning.
Ericksonian Hypnosis (EH): Ms. Klopstock incorporates Ericksonian Hypnosis as an adjunct to cognitive-behavioral treatment (CBT) modalities when clinically appropriate. Ericksonian Hypnosis is a powerful therapeutic tool that can aid in resolving emotional difficulties. Unlike other forms of hypnosis, it is a permissive state of highly focused attention or trance, in which suggestions are more effective than usual. The true power of hypnosis resides within the patient.
